Bacon Fine Art Appraisals & Advisory, LLC offers professional fine art appraisals and advisory services for individuals, collectors, museums, arts-related institutions, attorneys, insurance companies and financial institutions. The company provides insurance, estate and donation appraisals to clientele and, separately, offers art advisory services to clients in the Bay Area. In all transactions, the company is committed to providing the highest levels of professional service.

Karen Bacon holds an M.A. in Art History, and has over 20 years of arts-related experience working as an appraiser and with auction houses, galleries and private dealers. She is a Certified Member and Executive Board Member of the Appraisers Association of America, the premier national organization of professional appraisers focused in the fine and decorative arts, and a member of ArtTable, the foremost professional organization dedicated to advancing the leadership of women in the visual arts.

She is the 2023 recipient of the President’s Award from the Appraisers Association of America, recognized for her contributions to the organization..
